It makes sense that you may have some anxiety or apprehension to divulge the intimate details of your life to a stranger. However, it is precisely this anonymity that provides the foundation for a unique and successful patient-therapist or client-therapist relationship. My job is to be nonjudgemental and accepting of you in the most objective way possible. While I may have questions to further my understanding of you, I am not here to judge. I am here to listen and provide insights and greater understanding for you to grow and to obtain your goals.
Many people find it liberating to speak with someone who doesn’t know you or your family and friends, and who won’t judge you or your actions. In addition, what you share is strictly confidential. Speaking with someone one on one in a confidential setting is the most popular form of therapy for a reason.
Therapy can help you make the changes you need in order to have more rewarding relationships. Whether you participate in individual, couples and/or group therapy, you will learn what you can do to reach your goals.
We want to help you discover what your chronic pain is telling you about unresolved life experiences and unexpressed feelings.
Perinatal Therapy is for people experiencing fertility challenges, pregnancy related concerns, and/or postpartum mental health concerns.
Most people come to couples therapy in order to improve your communication. Couples can expect to gain a greater understanding of yourselves as individuals, your partner, and the interpersonal dynamics or patterns in your relationship that keep you stuck. Couples therapy is designed to deepen your connection as a couple, repair your relationship from emotional injuries, and/or strengthen the bond that you have with your partner.
While couples therapy can yield significant benefits, a lot of people feel nervous to get started. Common fears are that you will be judged, criticized, misunderstood, attacked, or made to feel ashamed and/or guilty by your partner or your couples therapist. Couples therapy requires extra courage because we are simply more vulnerable with our partners witnessing us in the therapy room. My aim is to help you to achieve greater safety and connection with one another.
Participating in an interpersonal process group is probably unlike anything you have ever done before. While joining a group may be anxiety provoking to consider, it is precisely for this reason that participation in a process group is so powerful and effective. Learning how to better tolerate and express your feelings is a necessary component needed to improve your satisfaction in your relationships.
Participation in a group can be a wonderful way to learn how to have deeper connections and satisfying relationships. If you decide to join an interpersonal process group, you will learn a lot about yourself. Lou Ormont, Ph.D., a founder of modern psychoanalytic process group work said, “those who are successful in group are successful in life”.
Online psychotherapy has become very popular for a reason! It is very convenient and equally as effective as in-person work. I offer individual, couples, and group therapy services online through HIPAA complaint zoom software.
In addition to practicing in New Jersey and New York, I am now licensed to practice tele therapy in the following states:
“Our sessions really helped, I left the job at the “other” office and got a job at the dermatology practice I was originally interested in- in Manhattan, and feel 100% better/out of my rut. Thanks again!!”
